Omitama

So there I was…I knew what Sukyo Mahikari had done to me and my family, but I didn’t know how to begin an attack. My efforts would have to be subtle because anything outlandish and bold would immediately be considered spiritual disturbance in the eyes of kumite. Sho-Cho had suggested writing, but I wasn’t ready to write about this just yet; I wouldn’t know how to begin. I finally came to the conclusion that the first step would be to renounce my faith publicly and leave Mahikari…not because of the impact it would have on my family and other members I knew, but because in my mind that was the only way I would be able to rid myself of Mahikari completely. I was scared that if I did not rid myself of the pendant and the doctrine that I might lose my nerve and buckle under the fear. The fear was something fresh in my mind. As a kumite we were warned about leaving Mahikari, told that our connection to God would be cut off, etc…what if Kanbu were telling the truth? I had to get rid of the pendant and fast, once that was gone there was no going back.

When my family and I arrived at the dojo for ceremony that month I did not remove my shoes or wash my hands before stepping onto the carpet…instead I walked past the sink, past the shoe rack, past the sign in area and right up to the Doshi. I took the pendant off over my head and extended it to him, “You can have this back. I don’t want it anymore.” The expressions on the faces of Kumite around were ones of shock and horror. My parents were on my heals in a second, pulling me off the carpeted area and back onto the tile. My pendant was still extended to the Doshi.

“What has gotten into you?” My mother asked, horrified.

“I don’t want to be a member anymore, Mom.” I could hear the shakiness in my voice, I hardly believed the words I had just uttered.

“What do you mean?” She asked, “Let’s go outside and talk about this.”

“There’s nothing to talk about.” I said trying to steady myself, “I have made my decision. Please understand and support me.”

“She’s disturbed.” My father said, walking up to me and placing his hand on my shoulder, “Lara, just receive light…I am sure that once you-“

“No!” I shouted, “You’re not listening to me.” With that I dropped my pendant, intentionally on the floor. All the Kumite in the room lunged forward, but then stopped them selves, seeming to remember that they were not allowed to handle someone else’s pendant. The omitama hit the floor and all eyes were on me. They were looks of shock, horror, anger, and disgust all mixed into one. At the moment I saw Asher walk in with his parents and sister. He looked at me with dark slanted eyes…I expected to see support or understanding, but sadly there was no comfort to be found. I shrugged off my parents hands.

The Doshi walked up to the pendant, said a little prayer and then picked up the locket, “I will be going to Japan next week to visit Suza…I will take the omitama to remedy this accident.”

At that point I started to cry. I felt like I was in a crowded room, screaming at the top of my lungs, and no one was listening…no one even looked up. I ran out of the dojo and into the parking lot. I plopped down on a curb and began to sob. No one came out to soothe me…not even Asher. I felt alone in the world. I rode the bus back to my home and later on that evening my father entered the room. The light entering my pitch black room made my eyes water as I made out his silhouette, “Doshi is taking your pendant to Japan…you got lucky this time, next time you will have to take it yourself.”

I ignored him.

“Lara, this is merely a spirit disturbance. You need to go receive light more. The Doshi said that it is this angry spirit that is making you behave this way.”

I still ignored him.

When the Doshi brought my pendant back to the house, my parents called me downstairs. When he extended the pendant to me, I did not say the Amatasu or any other prayer; I merely snatched the box from his hands. I didn’t know why I was being so rude, I knew he had the best of intentions at heart, but I was just so disgusted with the whole matter that I could not even feign gratitude. After that I walked to my room and dropped the pendant in the waste basket…but after a few minutes I took it out and set it back on it’s shelf. I was afraid of this. I knew that I had to get rid of it or it would be harder…the pendant sat on my shelf for months; by then Asher had come to see the truth and moved out of his parent’s home…but I still lacked the strength to throw away the omitama. To be honest with you, it still sits on that shelf to this very day, waiting to either meet its doom or be put back on. I wish I could say I am as strong as I try to pretend to be, but I’m not. I hope someday I will be.

Field of Innocence

I still remember the world
From the eyes of a child
Slowly those feelings
Were clouded by what I know now

Where has my heart gone?
An uneven trade for the real world
Oh I...I want to go back to
Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all

I still remember the sun
Always warm on my back
Somehow it seems colder now!

Where has my heart gone?
Trapped in the eyes of a stranger
Oh why...I want to go back to
Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all

Where has my heart gone?
An uneven trade for the real world
Oh I...I want to go back to
Believing in everything and knowing nothing at all

I know I wasn't there for you when that went down, Lara, and I am sorry. I was still struggling with my own beliefs about Mahikari and I hadn't come to my own conclusions.

While you're at it why don't you give me a nice paper cut and pour lemon juice into it?

Seriously, you know that if I had not believed the teachings by that point I would have helped you out.

Silly kumite. What does a person have to do in order to get it through their heads. I am suprised your parents didn't tie you down to a bed and start chanting, "The power of Okada compels you!" Seriously, no means no. Why don't Kanbu get that? Do they automatically stop speaking English when someone says "I am leaving this organization"?

You were very brave to go in and publically hand back your Omitama (even if it's come back to haunt you) — once I'd decided to leave, there was no way you'd get me to set foot back on Mahikari ground, let alone inside the Dojo...

Sometime, when the time's right, you'll be able to get rid of your Omitama, possibly in a symbolic ritual, burying it, perhaps - simple rituals can be very liberating. Just give it time, it won't be on your shelf forever.

There is a law that governs each and every individual that breaths in this universe. The law of Karma, meaning, sowing the seeds that one reap.

MahiKari i a mere door that allows you to help an individual in this place we call home and as well as the astral world. AS they say when you give out light to others you are helping not only the person but the ancestors of that person and in return you are bless. People we talk with or connect ourselves for example our paretns, friends, husband wife and etc are all simple connected to us not with our present but from our past. We cannot understand the thoery simply because our mind is not open to the concept. We are all connect from the past that why we are here together to settle our past debts and how do we do it is by meeting and becoming close to repay. SOme friends buys us lots of gift and others just keep taking but stop to think that there is always a reason to everything.

I understand that the idea of the Mahikari theory is really difficult but it is the way of the Japanese. The Japanese always respect God or anything HOly with real care and sometimes we cannot understand but that is how it is. If MahiKAri was from Asia then the style would be different.

Just keep giving Light and Receiving light fight not the battle for when you have no foundation ho can you win a battle or who can you win a battle that is not even there. My sincere advice would be you got an oppurtunity make full use of it. Sometimes we have to go with the flow of nature to understand what is destined for us. We cannot understand life but as we go along with it we come to a point of self-realization whereby we can understand. As they say we get what belongs to us. It is there for us we will receive it. Talk to your omitama and do your Prayer daily. Only then can you understand. Understand that using the Power of the universe to help others you be blessed. If you could not walk for years and with this practise you can would you not be happy... Self-Realization however, if you are normal you would just take it for granted.
God knows that you are thinking and your moves don't you think so. He is the Creator so don't you think that the Omitama being there for you shows that your heart believes and mind is just being sturbborn.
Don't fight it just try doing your prayer and he way will be shown.

For where there is a Will There is a way. Ego is a destruction seeking for an apology brings simplicity to our life.

Thank You

Be Careful. Spirit attachments CAN be dangerous. So, I advice you not to be selfish or anything bad. Do not ignore the Doshi. He means good. Just hpoe that God will frogive you. God Bless You, Lara. Even if I don't know who you are, I still know how you felt because I experienced it before. But not dropping or something close to that but Water. Water "Touched" my omitama and I felt very scared that I cannot give light anymore and God will be angry. I was scared. Doshi came to my house and examined my Omitama. I prayed to God, "Please, forgive me God. Sorry for dripping water on the Omitama... I'm so careless-I have to admit... Help me change it, God. Please." I begged him. After a few minutes. My Omitama was fine! Wow! God did answer my prayer. After that, I persevered more in this Mahikari thing. I believed in it.

So, trust me. It'll work.

What an amazing story. I feel bad that you weren't cradled as a child of God once you broke down in tears. The Pendant is of great spiritual significance and opens us up to our ancestral pathways but even as Yokoshi, we must not fail to recognize connections in the physical realm. Whether you wear the Omitama or not, your spirit is intact and you deserve to be embraced by Loving Hugs. Light is optional.

Lara, I simply admire you for the courage that requires standing for your personal choices against such a rigid organization. I foresee a bright future for you and your children if they follow your example.

Lara,

I was introduced to Mahikari way back in 1984. Within 3 years I had completed my advanced kenshu.

About 2 years later, I left the organisation with anger.

I was one of the very few who found out about the cheating that was going on. Andreis Tebecis even wrote to one of my staff complaining about me leaving Mahikari.(how low can one stoop???!....but then again I throw back the same mahikari garbage back to the the clown- tebecis ---- 'spiritual disturbance')

Being a lawyer, Tebecis should count himself extremely lucky that I did not sue his pants off for slander.

Many people get attracted to mahikari because of the actual healing powers the light possesses
This is true.

There is a Universal vibration that exists. It does not
belong to Mahikari, anybodoy can access this Energy.,
Mr. Okada was a follower of the Johrei movement. This is were the origins of the Omitama and tekahazi lie. The amatsu norigoto and much of the revelations were plagiarized from here.

The Jorei movement was started by a sincere man known as Mokichi Okada ( no relation to the crook Yoshikazu Okada). Mokichi Okada in the early 1920's became a disciple and friend to one Mr. Usui. Usui is generally known as the founder of Reiki. He taught Mokichi Okada many deep teachings.
In short the Mahikari Energy is the same Reiki Energy. It is the Universal Energy. In Reiki it is free but in Mahikari, members pay monthly subscriptions.

In Reiki a person is attuned directly to the Energy. In Mahikari, the Energy is attuned to an object. Why...its the best way of control.

A senior Reiki master can attune any object to the Energy. It is not something impossible to do. I challenge the Mahikari organisation that any senior Reiki master like myself and thousands of others can make Omitama's the same way Mahikari omitamas are made.
It is only an object that has been attuned and there is nothing sacred about it!

The other sinister thing about the Mahikari Omitama is that the Energy is actually connected spiritually to the present founder and the Omitama is a secondary physical connection.

So if there are 100,000 omitamas being used that same amount of energy is going through the founder....he/she gets to be elevated. Whereas the kamikumite does not. This explains the so called principle of cleansing. Which means that the more one uses the omitama.....the spiritual head gets elevated and the kamikumite's life ends up with more suffering.

This is a cheating method that benefits the founder. As he / she gets elevated, he trys to save those below him....(at advanced Kenshu this is explained as the Priciple of FU - but only partially explained)

If one is directly connected to the Energy, one does not go through the so called cleansings!

CONGRATULATIONS ON YOUR DECISION TO LEAVE MAHIKARI.

It is a dangerous organisation. The present break up of Mahikari is not based on spiritual opposition to mahikari. Instead it is the wrongdoings of the organisation which is surfacing. The ENERGY does not like contamination.

Swaying while receiving Energy is not spirit disturbance

This is another practise which was taken from CHI GONG by Yoshikazu okada.

This original practise was known as 'UNDDO'

This happens when there is excess energy in the body. The purpose of UNDDO is to release excess energy.

To perform UNDDO kneel down in a comfortable position (mahikari position is just perfect). close your eyes, connect to your innerself and say to yourself "release excess energy and balance my body"
(For those who are unfamiliar with this practise, the mere receiving of light in the forehead area is enough)

You will notice that your body slowly starts to sway. The swaying can get to be quite strong (depending on the amount of energy contained in the body. It will stop by itself the moment a state of energy balance is achieved.

The UNDDO should not be stopped suddenly as with what happens with Mahikari.......after repeating o shizumari. It will only cause adverse feelings like disturbed thoughts, inability to open the eyes, and a general feeling of uneasiness. No amount of chanting will ease this. UNDDO will stop by itself.

Mahikari uses the the uneasy feelings one experiences by suddenly stopping the natural UNDDO release of energy and putting the blame on spirits!
This makes anybody unfamiliar with UNDDO actually believe in spirits.

Yoshikazu Okada is terribly wrong is saying 80% of humankind is attached by spirits!
The only spirits I see around okada are 3 spirits called 'spirit of alcohol' 'spirit of Lark cigarettes' and the spirit of greed'

Further in Mahikari, kamikumite are not directly connected to the source of the energy. They are connected indirectly through the Omitama and from there to the spiritual body of their highest leader. This means whatever emotions the leader feels will also be felt by kamikumite.
Many kumite feel this gradual or sudden changes in thoughts and feelings!

Why not be free be yourself.....ged rid of the Omitama.

The moment, one feels like this, the strongly embedded thoughts of of the leader about leaving Mahikari surfaces on the Kumite!
This is the unexplainable reason why people want to leave but feel so jittery about it.

the above feelings of Lara illustrates exactly what I say.

I am sure there are thousands who have felt fear when about to leave!

If god wants her there.. He will take her there.. He doesn't need you or a pendent. I don't intend to be harsh but it's really sad seeing people spreading the fear. Pls let people live a natural life. And stop making claims on God!

Please bury it and leave. God does not need an object or organisation to be with you. Just belive in him and leave. My boyfriend just left me two weeks ago.. As he and his entire family is into Mahikari.. It has made him heartless. A man who couldn't see me upset before Mahikari, can now see me crying after breaking up. What kind of God gives you that strength.. God makes you fall in love, not out of it :) its very simple.. Just follow the leaving rituals and leave it ASAP.. Good luck!

My girlfriend practice Mahikari; I am still resentful with some of it principles.
1) The purification obsession and the announcement of an impending apocalypse. That lead to guilt and anguish.
2) She has become so obsessed with the ancestor thing. (Looks like on her shoulders rest an unplayable ancestors debts)
3) the agony of the omitama!
4) Sukyo Mahikari taught that the documents owned by the Koso Kotai shrine proves that Jesus Christ came to Japan at the age of eighteen in order to study and perform austerities, and that Jesus returned to Japan, where he died at the age of one hundred and eighteen. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukyo_Mahikari)
5) It teaches that Japan is at the center of original civilization and that the Japanese were the first of God's creatures. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukyo_Mahikari) uh!
Recent supportive studies claim that the DNA patterns are consistent with the idea that Africa is the ancestral home of mitochondrial Eve and Y-chromosomal Adam
I have to Daughters and 2 granddaughters, and I won’t make they feel awkward around me on anything, including beliefs of any kind. They are just my daughters. I think, with all respect, that parents need to step out a little.

As a Reiki practitioner and kamikumite I can tell you it is not the same energy. Reiki is feminine and cooling. Divine light is masculine and extremely hot. Reiki does cost actually, read you history. Reiki can be done anytime for Amy amount of time because it is a calmer vibration. Divine light needs respect and is so powerful you can be overwhelmed with too much.
As a kamikumite I have been hibernate for many yeas not wearing my omitama because I am far from the dojo and had too any life distractions to focus on it. However my heart forever yearns for it a feels the principals will forever serve me. In fact I attend Christian church because of what I learn from mahikari. I will go where God is available wherever I live. It's funny that people feel that mahikari tries to control you. If you feel compelled it is within yourself

As a practitioner teacher in reiki for over 20 years I identify with your experiences. As a practitioner kamikumite in sukyo mahikari & johrei, both also for well over 20 years & a plethora of other god centered energy systems I never understood why the practitioners of sukyo mahikari could do there own thinking. Of course its all about the name badge. Every organisation is like this. Doesn't anybody do there own research? Must they always be spoon fed. All of the 3 Japanese oriented systems that came out of sekai kyosei kyo -( mahikari, johrei) are basically from the same Dai kyo mio. The differences come from working with different Kami or presiding deities. Reiki & johrei for me are the more balanced ones not to mention they can attune, give, receive light to & at a distance unlike mahikari which teaches it can't. During my formative years as a practitioner of Pranic Healing I remember Marilag a high ranking Pranic Healing Master Teacher recanting a story about how her family who've practised mahikari for over 40 years in the Filipines would ask her to scan there hand chakras & head chakra to determine if they were aligned & manifesting the highest light for there greater good. She marveled how small they're hand chakras were despite giving light everyday for 40 years. No wonder they couldn't manifest good things in they're lives. Scanning chakras is a basic skill many practitioners of Pranic Healing have down to a science. They can & do scan energy systems of people present & at a distance & also situations both concrete & probable with amazing accuracy. When I came into that system along with my twin brother the teachers couldn't play the authority game with us & after many conversations & being scanned they were forced to drop the idiocy. Not like the other kumite who apparently have small hand chakras. Energy stacks with energy. It is often difficult to determine when energy can appear stronger as a perceptual because of other attunements or cords.I've heard people say Integrated Energy Therapy is soo strong. It is, but its generally stacked on top of individuals who've been attuned to other energy. I've seen people who are reiki masters & kamikumite turned out by Pranic Healing. Or johrei turned out by mahikari. energy is like vegetables. You can have your favorites but stacked together is more beneficial. My Kriya Yoga teacher spouts the opposite like every other system . All fear based & ignorant. Tithing in mahikari-( risen hoi) is very powerful. Not a money making scheme. Please everybody stop crawling & start running. Do your own thinking. Most of the kamikumite are ignorant. So what. The energy works. It doesn't have to be the be all end all.
